Since I have children, I always am looking for healthy snacks to stock my pantry with. Now we do buy goodies occasionally, but I prefer to send my kids to school with nutritious snacks that are not full of sugar that will give them energy they need to stay focused. One snack that I prefer sending my kids to school with is granola bars. I have always liked granola bars and my kids have took to this liking making it easy for me to buy snacks that all like.
We recently have had the opportunity to review some gourmet granola snacks from GranolaSnacks.com. When I first received my box of Granola Snacks, I did NOT wait to try them. This stuff comes in see-through packaging and all I could see was big chunks of granola that looked so good. The first one I tried was their Gourmet PB&J Granola. Now this this stuff is YUMMY. I knew I was going to like it just by reading the name though. What is cool about this granola snack is that it was tested by teenagers before hitting the market. This granola snack has an awesome peanut butter flavor and has cranberries in it, to give it that extra punch. I think I ate almost the whole bag of this flavor as I didn’t want to share when I was eating it.
We also got to try a few other varieties of their granola snacks including their Buckeye Granola, Carrot Cake Granola and their Rocky Road Granola. I would say that I liked all of these flavors with the PB&J and Buckeye being my favorites. Here is our thoughts on each of the other flavors we tried:
Buckye Granola – Now this is another delicious flavor. This one has peanut butter slathered with milk chocolate for a great taste that my kids LOVE. I think this one was their favorite.
Rocky Road Granola – If you have a sweet tooth, I definitely recommend trying this flavor. We found it to be so good, that you can only eat a little bit at a time. This snack has chocolate, almonds and marshmallows. I would say that this is one SWEET granola snack.
Carrot Cake Granola – This was a little different but good. This snack has a blend of Carrots, Flame Raisins and roasted walnuts with freshly ground Cassia Cinnamon. If you like carrot cake, you just might like this too!
Currently, you can find 8 different flavors at Granola Snacks. These YUMMY treats come in 9oz resealable bags and are very affordable. You can buy a bag of these gourmet granola snacks for only $5.95 at www.GranolaSnacks.com.
