In late 2009 I switched from my old pots and pans that I had for years to non-stick cookware. A friend of ours had seen that I was still stuck back in the days of using pots and pans that your food stick to and bought me an inexpensive set of nonstick cookware for a Christmas gift. I had to say that once I started using nonstick cookware I have not went back. I have given all of my old pots and pans away and now enjoy cooking knowing that there won’t a mess (or not a big one at least) to cleanup once I done.
Just a couple weeks ago I received the Ingrid Hoffmann Hard Enameled 12-piece Cookware Set by T-fal for review. I was in HEAVEN when I opened the box. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Since I have a passion for cooking, this cookware set is perfect for many reasons. For one, they are nonstick. For two, they are RED. For three, they cook my food just the way I like it.
Here is what is included in this set:
* 5qt Dutch oven with lid | * 2qt Saucepan with lid |
* 1qt Saucepan with lid | * 10″ Deep saute pan with lid |
* 10″ Open frypan | * 8″ Open frypan |
* Spatula | * Spoon |
If you have never cooked with nonstick cookware, you are MISSING out. I am telling you this from my own experience. I think I would have enjoyed cooking more had I know the benefits of these types of pots and pans. One thing you have to remember when using non-stick cookware though is to use plastic. If you use metal, you are going to be doomed to scratching up the surface of the pan which in my opinion, ruins the pan. So what I have done is put away all the old metal utensils so they won’t ever touch my precious pots and pans. You just never know when someone is going to stop by, maybe try to help you out in the kitchen and scratch up your pans. I am also careful washing them because certain sponges can scratch the surface if you are not careful.
What I find neat about this line is that some of these products have rubber handles. Now that is spiffy! This is the first time I have owned pans as fancy as these. In addition to the cool rubber handles, some of these cool cookware products have been designed with the Thermospot technology. The little design in the center lets you know when your pan reaches a perfectly preheated temperature. Now how cool is that? This pan is perfect for making my grilled cheese sandwiches!
Want to Buy it? You can purchase this awesome T-Fal Simply Delicioso by Ingrid Hoffman at HSN, Target and Amazon.
Disclosure ? The products featured above was provided free of cost to me by the manufacturer or representing PR agency. These opinions expressed are my own opinions and are NOT influenced by monetary compensation.

In November I was invited on a fantastic trip with my daughters Ariyona and Hailey to New York City to party with the Crayola Pop Art Pixies. This was probably the most memorable trip I have ever had and was so excited to see a video this morning published on Crayola’s YouTube page that shows just some of the details on our fun trip to the Big Apple.
I am only in this video for a brief second but you will see my daughters a few times. Looks like there will be more on this video series so be sure to stay tuned for more!
You can find this video and more by visiting: http://www.youtube.com/user/CrayolaLLC

Years ago I bought my daughters the LeapFrog reading system. I always thought that the LeapFrog brand always came out with some very cool products because they were always focused on “learning”. If you are going to buy your child a toy, why not let them teach them something, right? Well Lionsgate Home Entertainment and LeapFrog have teamed up and released 2 new DVD’s last month that my 3 year old son just LOVES.
Since my son does watch TV (and maybe a bit too much), I try to put on shows that are educational. Thankfully, he is 3 and happens to LOVE all the shows that encourage learning in them. My son can be picky too. He doesn’t just watch anything I put in, it has to have action! We recently received both of the new LeapFrog DVD’s that came out last month for review. Since he had never seen a LeapFrog video prior to this one, I was watching his reaction hoping that he liked it. When he didn’t tell me no and watched at least 15 minutes without budging, I knew he liked it.
Out of the two, my son’s favorite is the LeapFrog: Numbers Ahoy. I am not sure if he likes it because he can say frog and numbers or that maybe he just happens to think it is better. This is a cute video about Tad, Lily and Scout’s number skills pirate adventure. They need help getting through a game and their magical firefly friend takes them on a fantastical journey under the sea. When their puppy is captured, they must use their number skills to help rescue him. Since my son LOVES dogs, this also might be why he wants to watch this DVD so often.
The second LeapFrog video that he has been watching is the LeapFrog: The Amazing Alphabet Amusement Park. In this DVD, Tad, Lily and Scout’s firefly friend takes them on an adventure to the place of their childhood dreams Alistair Alphabelly’s Amazing Amusement Park. When they arrive, they find the park is CLOSED. While they are there, they firefly friend Edison gets himself stuck at the top of the ferris wheel. The only way to save their friend is to turn on the rides in the park with the magic of the alphabet. Now the children must learn all of the letters, big and small, to save their friend, save the day and perhaps even meet the rhyme master himself, Alistair Alphabelly!
I recommend both of these LeapFrog DVDs to those with children ages 3 to 6. These definitely help with the learning of both the alphabet and your basic numbers.
